Back in 2018 I struggled to install Windows 10 using a mac (don’t ask) so I made a short video about how I achieved this. During lockdown the video racked up more than a quarter of a million views. All this information rattling around my brain finally being put to good use and helping others. This is what sparked the creation of Skye IT Services.

My name is Marc Smith. I’ve been working with IT for a good number of years. I’ve faced many IT challenges within my primary business of animation and being based on the Isle of Skye you’re pretty much left to solve these issues alone. So I learned by doing. I have also been a director of community broadband company, Hebnet for the past 5 years. We have over 220 subscribers around the small isles and Knoydart and are currently installing FTTP to all of them.
